Group photo on the midge (that's a pretty big group) |
Today at around 1:45 pm the entire yeshiva was treated with a surprise announcement regarding Mivtza Torah. Apparently anyone who got over a 85% on the gemara tests spanning 4 blatt gemara would be able to participate in a hike to the midge (midrochov) for pizza on the house. It was the second time this week that pizza was given as a prize for something, but this time was completely different. Every person was able to choose whatever they wanted as toppings (on their own personal pie) I mean whatever they want. One guy actually asked for a heaping of Bulgarian cheese (some people have no sense of pizza). In addition to the pizza, we all got an authentic ice coffee and a healthy heaping of fries. Definitely a good idea to join the Mivtza torah, I would recommend it to anyone.
And as if my day couldn't get any better...The שבת ירושלים rumors are indeed true... we are going away for the weekend. The details are still a bit vague (they really keep us in the dark) but from the little I got from my counselor it sounds like its gonna be a lot of fun. We come back on Sunday night (chassidus monday morning 8:30 am sharp). We need to wake up at 5:30am because the buses are leaving at 7:30 am after shachris (let's see if that happens). So have a good night and a wonderful shabbos.
Pictures of the ירושלים trip are sure to follow.
