Meron and The Galil Winery

Friday was more of a relaxing day, we didn't even have to fill up our waterpaks. It started off like a regular day until around noon which is when we departed to Meron.
Showing off their brand new souvenir glasses (apparently they don't come with a free refill)

On the way to Meron we stopped by an Israeli grocery store where we had the opportunity to stock up on our Israeli favorites such as cholov israel ice cream, and chocolate milk in a bag (why can't canteen get that stuff?).

Upon arriving in Meron we did a quick mincha by the רשבי  followed by a beautifully presented lunch overlooking the entire Meron. We even got to engage with the locals, it was a pretty cool experience. While it wasn't the most intense thing we have done, I definitely think Meron is a really cool place (cant wait to go for לג בעומר).

After Meron it was straight up to The Galil Winery for a true lesson in the appreciation of wine. It was really interesting to hear how much effort and care goes into making a single bottle of wine (it was even more interesting to see how much contemplation you are supposed to have before sipping your wine, its pretty intense). After the tour we had an opportunity to sip a small sample of wine (it goes without saying that my spittoon was completely empty ;) It was actually pretty cool that before we left everyone was given a souvenir wine glass to take home (I hope it doesn't break before I get there) its a pretty cool gift I think.
Have a good shabbos!!

Getting ready to appreciate the taste of wine

"It doesn't smell like cotton candy"

What a lunch... Salami and Tuna (pickles on the side!)

How do you say Thousand Island in Hebrew?

"Yeh I think I see it"

"Why no spill"

Is that all they're giving?

and its only after the smelling part
