The last day of yeshivas kayitz (on the actual campus) was one filled with wonders, mysteries, and Jeopardy (learning class style). Not to mention to the World Series of Football championship super bowl cup extravaganza.

The Jeopardy contestants await their turn |
Whoever said that the last day was going to be a sad, boring day filled with packing and tear-filled goodbyes has yet to visit yeshivas kayitz tzfas. From the moment we woke up in the morning (not really but it sounds better) you could tell something was up. The learning teachers were ruffling, the counselors were a bustling, and the מנהל כללי (Eliyahu HaKohen Rosenfeld in case you were wondering) was in a state of utter bliss. Why were they so excited, what were they busy with, could it be?...
Right after breakfast it was time for runaways (I mean learning class). Some classes did chazara, some learnt Tanya, some went further on in the gemara, and others went on a ....runaway. The runaways consisted of trips to the midge, the metsuda (scenic view overlooking the midge and beyond), and of course Jeopardy (which is so much cooler than the midge). For around 2 hours or so we did our thing, played our games, and b'chlal had a good time. Then came the big announcement.... THE GRAND TRIP.
Immediately following mincha, the staff had us stay in zal for a very important announcement. They broke out the grand trip with all of it's details (you wish, they told us to pack waterpaks, bring a bathing suit, and that we would be in Chevron for shabbos),the room was filled with excitement and jeers. After the announcement we went to pack up all of our stuff from the whole summer (the stuff needed for shabbos was set aside from the rest), and got ready for the big game.
The other moment we have all been waiting for was the Yeshivas Kayitz Championship game between the two best teams.
The game was rough and tough, back and forth, and super competitive. The popcorn was crunchy, and the lemonade flowed like water down a steep cliff. It was a long game, and a sweaty game with all the makings of a yeshiva classic. At the end I am forced to admit that the best team won, but both teams put up a top performance. Well played.
It is getting late, and we have to leave by 6 am tomorrow. We have got a big day ahead of us, looking forward to sharing with you all. Enjoy the pics.
